Textron Aviation has announced an order for 10 new Cessna Skyhawk 172 aircraft from the Egyptian Aviation Academy (EAA), supporting the academy’s fleet modernisation and pilot training capabilities.
The aircraft, ordered in coordination with Ariegsa Manufacturing as the prime contractor, are scheduled for delivery through 2027. The Cessna Skyhawk 172 will strengthen EAA’s training fleet, which already includes Cessna Citation Mustang, Cessna Skyhawk, Beechcraft Baron and Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft.

Founded in 1932 and based in 6th of October City, Egypt, the Egyptian Aviation Academy is one of the oldest flight schools in the Middle East and Africa. The academy is recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as a Regional Training Centre.
