Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has unveiled ELLYON, a next-generation multi-mission aircraft integrating Electronic Attack (EA) and advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) capabilities into a single airborne platform.

ELLYON combines full-spectrum frequency jamming, SIGINT, long-range SAR/GMTI radar, electro-optical sensing and wide-band SATCOM, enabling real-time intelligence gathering and electronic warfare operations within a unified system.

Designed for stand-off operations from hundreds of kilometres, the aircraft can detect, collect and classify intelligence while simultaneously carrying out electronic countermeasures, disruption and EA missions across the battlespace. Its AI-based mission management system processes onboard data and transmits actionable intelligence in real time to command centres and other platforms.
The platform-agnostic system can be integrated on multiple large business jet platforms and supports simultaneous radar and communications jamming, enabling coordinated effects against advanced and integrated air defence systems. It also features a self-protection suite with advanced threat detection, warning and countermeasure capabilities.
“IAI has been at the forefront of developing advanced intelligence aircraft, combining technological innovation and operational expertise. ELLYON continues this legacy by integrating advanced intelligence collection, Electronic Attack and AI-driven mission management into a single platform, providing a decisive operational advantage in evolving battlespace,” said Boaz Levy, Chairman of the Board at IAI.
“ELLYON represents a technological leap forward, combining stand-off operations with the ability to sense, understand and shape the electromagnetic battlespace. ELLYON shortens intelligence-to-action cycles and enhances freedom of action in the most demanding operational environments,” stated Dror Bar, CEO of ELTA Systems and EVP at IAI.
The system brings together operationally proven technologies, including advanced sensors, algorithms and AI-driven software, and joins IAI ELTA’s family of intelligence aircraft supporting the Israel Defense Forces and global customers.
