General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. (GA-ASI) is highlighting its leadership in Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) at the Farnborough International Airshow, as it moves into production following a recent contract award from the U.S. Air Force.
The company is showcasing a full-scale model of its CCA at its outdoor stand, reflecting growing international interest in uncrewed combat aircraft and GA-ASI’s expanding role in next-generation airpower.
GA-ASI recently received a production contract from the United States Air Force for the FQ-42A, a purpose-built uncrewed fighter developed on an accelerated timeline. The aircraft has already completed design, development, and flight testing, demonstrating the company’s ability to rapidly deliver advanced capabilities.
“We’re all-in on CCA,” said Linden Blue, CEO of GA-ASI. “Even before the Air Force contract, we were moving forward into full production. We recently transitioned our main production facility to produce six CCAs per month and completed a high-rate, low-observable coating facility.”
The company is also seeing strong international interest in its Gambit series of CCAs, which are designed for a range of mission profiles including electronic warfare, suppression and destruction of enemy air defenses (SEAD/DEAD), and stand-off precision strike.
As demand grows, GA-ASI continues to position its CCA portfolio as a scalable, cost-effective solution for modern air forces seeking to expand combat capability with semi-autonomous systems.
