Korean Air is showcasing its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies at the Korea Drone & UAM Expo 2026, taking place from July 15 to 17 at Songdo Convensia in Incheon. The event, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and Incheon Metropolitan City, brings together the latest developments in drone technology and urban air mobility.
At the exhibition, Korean Air is presenting a range of strategic technologies aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of Korea’s aerospace sector, with a focus on AI, UAV platforms, digital maintenance and integrated UAM operations. Visitors can experience these innovations through an interactive exhibition space featuring real-time traffic management simulations and robotic systems.
A key highlight is ACROSS (Air Control and Routing Orchestrated Skyway System), Korean Air’s proprietary traffic management solution for urban air mobility. The system monitors aircraft in real time and provides optimized routing to enable safe, collision-free operations. ACROSS has already demonstrated its capabilities through successful participation in the K-UAM Grand Challenge led by MOLIT.
In the autonomous systems segment, Korean Air is presenting its “AI Pilot” concept alongside a growing portfolio of UAV platforms, including stealth unmanned systems developed in collaboration with Anduril Industries. These developments reflect the company’s focus on future unmanned combat systems and integrated battlefield operations.
Korean Air is also highlighting its Digital MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) solution, which uses inspection drones and ground robots to assess aircraft exteriors. The system leverages AI to analyze high-resolution imagery in real time, reducing inspection times from 10 hours to just one hour while enhancing safety and efficiency.
