LGM has obtained CNES certification for the manual wiring of electronic boards for space applications at its Marville facility in France, marking a significant milestone in its electronics manufacturing capabilities for the space sector.

The certification, issued under the supervision of the French space agency CNES and compliant with European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) requirements, validates LGM’s ability to perform high-precision manual wiring operations to the stringent reliability and quality standards required for space systems.
Manual wiring of space-grade electronic boards demands advanced technical expertise, strict process control, and rigorous quality assurance, as such systems must operate reliably under extreme conditions including vibration, thermal variation, radiation, and vacuum.
The CNES approval process includes detailed audits, skills assessments, and validation of manufacturing processes through testing and expert evaluation, ensuring compliance with European space standards.
For LGM, the certification strengthens its positioning in the European space market and enhances its credibility with space agencies, prime contractors, and equipment manufacturers.
“Obtaining this CNES approval is a decisive step for the LGM Group’s electronics production activities. It validates years of investment in upgrading our teams’ skills and in continuous improvement of our processes. Today, this certification enables us to position ourselves as a trusted partner for European space programs and to support our customers in their most demanding projects,” says Guillaume PETIT, Industrial Director of the Marville site.
The certification also enables LGM to participate in tenders and programmes across satellite applications, including observation, telecommunications, navigation, and scientific missions, supporting its expansion in the European space sector.
